REGULATION EC 655/2013 APPLIES TO CLAIMS IN THE FORM OF TEXTS, NAMES, TRADEMARKS, PICTURES AND FIGURATIVE OR OTHER SIGNS THAT CONVEY EXPLICITLY OR IMPLICITLY PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS OR FUNCTIONS IN THE LABELLING, THE MAKING AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET AND ADVERTISING OF COSMETIC PRODUCT

Cosmetics claims example

There are 2 product kinds: cosmetic products and pharmaceutical products. It doesn’t exist any cosmeceuticals in the EU
“anti-cellulite” and “anti-acne” claims should not be used because these declarations can be referred to pharmaceutical products exclusively
“Preservative free” claim should not be used in case of product with auto-preservative properties, e. g. Capryloyl Glycol
